Shahar Yahalom Ruti De Vries Goni Riskin
Studio Bank, Tel Aviv
Februart 10, 2021 – February 31, 2021
Curator: Hadas Kedar
The project, which exists in the tension between an exhibition and an active studio space, is based on a principle of modular installations within the space, fostering a cross-disciplinary dialogue between the three artists. The exhibition featured joint works, including sculptural objects that function as wearable pieces—such as shoes made of plaster and ceramics—and textile works, some of which were sewn on-site into garments.
The combination of photography, sculpture, and installation within the space of Studio Bank formed an evolving process of imagery transformation—both conceptually and materially. The artists examined the objects created through their dialogue, constructing environments for them: the objects were placed among still images frozen in time and short video works, some documenting real events and others based on staged occurrences.
